Special Investigations and Reviews

SWIA conducts special investigations and reviews, usually at the request of Scottish Ministers. These have included:

• an investigation into the management of the post-release of a sex offender in North Lanarkshire;
• the care and protection of children in Eilean Siar; and
• with Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Constabulary, a review of the management arrangements of Colyn Evans.
